Frequently Asked Questions
How long will the session last: Each photo session will last approximately 2 hours. Some take longer than others. It all depends on how your dog is feeling that day about cooperating with the camera. It's possible your pooch will end up being a star and I will be able to get the photos I'm looking for in under 2 hours. It's also possible that it may take a little longer than 2 hours, and that's just fine. I want to make sure that I get the best possible images for your investment.
Prior to the photo session: We will have a preliminary consultation via telephone so you can tell me a little bit about your dog's personality, traits and temperament. We can then choose a date, location and time. A week prior to the session you will want to make sure your dog is groomed and looking their best. You will also want to exercise them a bit a couple hours before my arrival. A nice long walk should do the trick. If the photo shoot is taking place in your backyard you will want to make sure you remove all debris and tidy up a little if necessary.
Where will the session take place: For the best quality photos they are mostly taken outdoors in natural lighting. They can take place on your own property, a public park or your dog’s favorite spot.
What happens if the weather is bad: All sessions will be weather dependent and will be rescheduled, if necessary at no additional cost to the client.
What should I bring with me: A good amount of your dogs favorite treats, water and one or two of his favorite toys. If you would like your dog to be photographed in any special attire, please bring that along also.
How do I receive my photos: Once the session is complete it will take up to one week for me to choose and edit the best images. You will then be provided a link to Dropbox where you can view, download and store the digital images. If you would like your images sent to you on a flash drive in addition to Dropbox, there would be an additional charge of $15.00
